Hello everyone --
The Special Olympics World Games are coming to Los Angeles, July 25th-August 1st with over 20 different events, and over 170 different countries participating.
The Los Angeles Clippers have teamed up the with World Games Fans in the Stands program to help bring fans to the stands to help encourage and support the athletes.
The events that we would like to focus on are Athletics (Track & Field) and Basketball, but mostly basketball.

Athletics will be taking place at Loker Stadium/Cromwell Field at USC and Basketball will take place at the Galen Center at USC.

IF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND, I AM OFFERING SEATS TO THIS EVENT FOR FREE!  What a great way to spend summer with our kids!  

Let me know which events and time slots you wish to attend - YOU CAN ATTEND EVERYTHING!  I NEED TO SEND FINAL COUNT BY Monday NIGHT...

For each event attendance is free and on a first come first serve basis, so if you would like to sit together make sure you save seats. I have included as much information as I have BELOW.
Once I register you, I will send final info for the day of.

No food or beverage can be brought in to the events, but there are concession stands at each of venues.

Parking and Transportation:
Parking varies from venue to venue. Whether you’re coming by car, bus, train, bike, or public transportation check out the maps to find out where to go when you arrive.

USC – Campus lots $12
UCLA – Campus lots $12
LA Convention Center –  Surrounding lots $15 and up
Long Beach – Lot prices vary
Marine Stadium – Free parking
Alamitos Beach – Paid lots and meters
Belmont Pier – Paid lots and meters
Cycling Venue – Parking at the Pike
Griffith Park – Free parking, bus drop off at Wilson Harding lower parking lot.
LA Equestrian Center – Free parking, bus drop off at back parking lot.
Balboa Sports Center – Free parking along Balboa Blvd or over flow across the street

Gathering Space
Youth groups and other large groups that need space to take a break or eat lunch can find a designated spot on the Venue Map.

Prohibited Items
The following is the Games Wide Prohibited Items List:
·        Drugs/alcohol (no alcohol will be served at Special Olympic Events)
·        Pop-up tents inside of venues
·        Animals (except assistive animals)
·        Fireworks
·        Firearms
·        Weapons, knives and explosives
·        This is a smoke-free event. Tobacco use is not permitted at any location including cigarettes, cigars, pipes and smokeless products
·        Professional cameras, (lenses longer than 3”) or video and/or audio recording equipment
·        Horns or other noisemakers, musical instruments or large music players
·        Frisbees, balls
·        Signs, posters, placards or banners exceeding (30” by 36”) inches in size. Handles or supports may not exceed 1Ž4” thickness, 3Ž4” width, and 18” in length – all such handles or supports shall be made of wood without exception
·        Hard or soft sided coolers of any size
·        Skateboards, roller skates and rollerblades
·        Outside food and drink (a reasonable amount of water for individual personal consumption will be permitted)

June 14 — American Legion Pancake Breakfast
American Legion Post 43 is in need of some scouts to come and help serve pancakes for Flag Day on Sunday June14th from 8:00am to 11:30am. If you are not going on the camp out and can spare a few hours please see Mr. Smith or Mr. Schector.
